Over the weekend, President Joe Biden extended a warm invitation to Nigerian leader President Bola Tinubu.

Presidency spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said in a statement Tinubu had accepted the invitation, which was delivered by U.S. presidential envoy and assistant secretary of state for African affairs Molly Phe

They'll discuss boosting American investment in Nigeria and improving relations. Tinubu emphasized the need for collaboration with African democracies and economic reform.

Meanwhile, two familiar faces exited the Big Brother Naija show – Tolanibaj and Frodd.

The duo marked the fourth and fifth evictions of the season. Tolanibaj, displaying an air of acceptance, shared her expectation of the outcome, gracefully acknowledging the unpredictable nature of reality television.

On a different front, Atiku Abubakar raised concerns about the authenticity of Bola Tinubu's academic records. At the heart of the matter was Tinubu's claim of having bypassed primary and secondary education, only to hold a university degree.

Abubakar's skepticism ignited a debate over transparency and accountability in the political realm.

In other events, Russian authorities confirmed the demise of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the enigmatic leader of the Wagner Group, in a plane crash. Doubts that had initially shrouded his presence on the aircraft were dismissed. Nonetheless, the cause of the crash remained shrouded in mystery, triggering speculation of possible Kremlin involvement, given Prigozhin's controversial profile.

Back in Nigeria, Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser, delivered a somber reality check. He revealed that the nation was hemorrhaging a staggering 400,000 barrels of crude oil each day due to the nefarious activities of criminal elements. The alarming revelation underscored the urgent need for heightened security measures to safeguard the country's vital resources.

Amid these diverse events, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stood at the forefront as he inaugurated the Nigerian Bar Association's conference. With conviction, he pledged to make tough decisions for a stronger nation. Seeking wisdom from the legal community, he expressed his determination to usher in positive changes. Furthermore, Tinubu articulated the pressing need for improved electricity infrastructure and welcomed constructive criticism to refine his leadership approach.

On the sporting front, Enyimba of Aba and Remo Stars faced disappointment as they were ousted from the CAF Champions League. Enyimba, despite a hard-fought 4-3 victory in the first leg, was unable to break the deadlock, drawing 0-0 against Al Ahli Benghazi.
