Senator Ike Ekweremadu & Mrs. Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu

Senator Ike Ekweremadu's daughter's organ donor is 21, not 15; according to Nigeria's Immigration Service.

The Comptroller-General of the NIS, Isa Jere told editors over the weekend that the donor's date of birth is 12 October 2000 as captured by the Service after thorough verification.

The young man is currently in the UK "under the care of safeguarding authorities" after the police arrested and arraigned Senator Ekweremadu and his wife for trafficking a minor in order to harvest his organ.

The UK authorities believe him to be 15.

Continuous Voter Registration to be Extended

It's good news for the millions of eligible Nigerians who are yet to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu told a crowd at the #YouthVoteCountNG mega concert in Abuja that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will be extended beyond the 30 June deadline.

Take a look at our slideshow for other stories you might have missed over the weekend, including former President, Olusegun Obasanjo reminding Nigerians that his choice of Atiku Abubakar as his "Number Two" in 1999 was a mistake.

Welcome to a new week.
