Yuletide Season: Police Deploys Personnel

Lagos State Police Command says it has deployed adequate personnel across the state to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and New year celebrations.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, said the deployment is part of steps to prevent crime on various roads and ensure the safety of road users during and after the Yuletide.
Mr. Elkana told Nigeria Info that plainclothes police have been deployed to churches, recreational centers, motor parks and public buildings across the state to forestall any threat to lives and property.
He said Police personnel are ready to deal with any form of security threat as extra security measures have been taken to guarantee the safety of lives and property during this period.
"We have put in more measures now for Lagosians to have a hitch-free, Christmas and New year celebrations. Starting from the patrol of highways because people are traveling in and out of Lagos.
"We have major patrol going on on all the major highways. Our safer highway patrols are fully deployed. Our waterways are well covered."
The Police PRO also advised members of the public to assist the police with useful information to track down criminals in their midst.
