Yemi Alade's 'Woman of Steel' Up for Grammy Consideration

Nigerian music star, Yemi Alade has submitted her most recent album "Woman of Steel" for Grammy consideration.
The 15-track album released on 30th August 2019 has been referred to by critics as her best work yet.
The album will be considered in the "Best World Music Album" category.
Mama Africa, as she is popularly called, took to Twitter to ask all voting members of the recording academy to consider her album for the coveted award.

The Grammy Award for Best World Music Album is an honour presented to recording artists for quality albums in the world music genre by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States.
Nigerian artistes who have been nominated in the past in this category include King Sunny Ade, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti but none brought the award home.
Yemi Alade recently signed a distribution deal with Universal Music France on October 6, 2019.
