Universal health coverage is World Health Organization’s (WHO) number one goal, and according to what the organization says, to achieving it is ensuring that everyone can obtain the care they need, when they need it, right in the heart of the community.
Millions of people still have no access at all to health care. Millions more are forced to choose between health care and other daily expenses such as food, clothing and even a home.
In Nigeria, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, says this year’s World Health Day aligns with Federal Government’s resolve to provide qualitative healthcare for every Nigerian.
“The theme of this year’s World Health Day is ‘Universal Healthcare Coverage, Everyone Everywhere’, and the slogan is ‘Health for All’.
