Wike Criticizes Rivers Judiciary
Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has criticized the Rivers State Judiciary for not living up to expectations in the last judicial year.
The Governor while speaking during the opening ceremony of the 2019/2020 Legal Year in Port-Harcourt expressed disappointment over the Judiciary’s inability to dispose only five thousand cases out of the 15 thousand before it.
He said the state provided the needs of the judicial officers but did not get the optimum result of their services. He therefore cancelled all promises he made to the judges and urged them to sit up.
Correspondent Joshua Ezedike reports that Governor Wike however commended the Magistrates handling Task Force matters for their zeal for work.
