Why Port-Harcourt - Aba Rail Route is Witnessing Boom
By Soibi Oruwari
Train transport is experiencing a boost due to the bad state of the Port Harcourt Aba road. Some train passengers at Port Harcourt station who were seen boarding the economic class to Aba also complained of the poor condition of the coaches.
The passengers mainly business men and women told Nigeria Info correspondent Soibi Oruwari that that the government should also extend the rail from Port Harcourt to the North.
Our correspondent reports that before now the train operated other routes from Port Harcourt. We gathered that the train travels from Port Harcourt to Aba daily and the fare is two hundred naira (#200) per passenger.
However, the train makes more than five stops before terminating at Aba Station.
