UAE DENIES REVIEW OF VISA VALIDITY FOR NIGERIANS
The United Arab Emirates has dismissed reports that it had reviewed the visa validity for Nigerians from three months to one month.
Describing the statement as false, the UAE Embassy in a statement in Abuja said on Friday aid it had not suspended tourist visas for Nigerians.
The report follows the robbery attack by five Nigerians on a bureau de change office in UAE for which they were later arrested.
“In the light of the press reports published this morning, and alleging that the United Arab Emirates has suspended issuing tourists visas to Nigerian nationals, the United Arab Emirtes Embassy in Abuja would like to announce this news is inaccurate and stresses the importance of getting the news from its official channels.” read the statement.
