Tottenham Sack Pochettino

Tottenham have sacked manager Mauricio Pochettino after five seasons at the club.
The former Southampton coach was appointed manager in May 2014 and led the team to the Champions League final last May where they lost 2-0 to Liverpool in Madrid.
Chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement: “We are extremely reluctant to make this change. It is not a decision that the board has taken lightly, nor in a haste.”
“Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.”
“It falls on the board to make the difficult decisions- this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff- but we do so in the club’s best interests.”
Argentine, Pochettino leaves the club 14th in the Premier League after a disappointing start to the season.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has emerged as the front runner to replace the 47-year-old at The Tottenham Stadium.
