THE LAGOSIANS V TANKER DEBACLE… when will it end?
The trucks have become a main stay on Lagos roads
For a very long time now, Lagosians have had to deal with the frustrating sight and struggle with trucks on her roads which has led to endless heavy traffic everyday and the ocassional accidents in the metropolis.
Sensationally though on Friday 8th February, 2019 the trucks were off the roads for the visit of the President to the state for the APC rally the following day to allow for little or no traffic. However on Monday 11th, things returned to “status quo” as the trucks were back again.
This move lead to widespread criticisms of the decision to return the trucks back to the roads by Lagosians as it was perceived as little or no concern for the populace.
Our PM Hub team Sandra Ezekwesili (@sEzekwesili) and Aghogho Oboh (@aghoghooboh) took on the discuss on our show HardFact and the views received from callers centered mostly on the following questions:
- Where were the trucks moved to and why?
- Why were the trucks returned?
- Are Lagosians less important than the President?
- When will this situation end?
These are burning questions seeking urgent answers!!!
