Supreme Court Set to Rule on Benue, Adamawa Elections

The Supreme Court will on Tuesday rule on the Benue and Adamawa governorship election.
A seven-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour fixed 2 pm for the commencement of proceedings after taking final briefs from counsel to the appellant, All Progressives Congress' Emmanuel Jime and counsels to respondents, Independent National Electoral Commission, Samuel Ortom and Peoples Democratic Party.
In Benue, All Progressives Congress’, Emmanuel Jime is challenging the victory Governor Samuel Ortom as the declared winner of the March 28, 2019 governorship election in the state.
The APC candidate had approached the court seeking nullification of both Tribunal and Court of appeal on the matter.
