By Olamide Fadoju
A coalition of civil society organisations on Monday staged a protest at the National Human Rights Commission Headquarters, Abuja to call for the release of Convener, #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.
The protest comes three days after the ultimatum given to President Muhammadu Buhari on the release of Omoyele Sowore elapsed.
The civil society group had on December 6, 2019 among other demands requested that President Buhari release the convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Sowore, investigate the invasion of the federal high court Abuja by operatives of the Department of State Services.
The activists who threatened a mass action if after 14 days their demands are not met, today stormed the headquarters of the NHRC.
While this was ongoing another group of youths, a pro-buhari group emerged with placards showing signs of satisfaction with the Buhari government.
