South East Govs Meet With Buhari
Governors and leaders of the South East region have met President Muhammadu Buhari with a request for the immediate commencement of expansion work on the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
Briefing State House Correspondents after the meeting, Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi said the delegation equally discussed the disconnect between various communities in the region due to bad roads.
The delegation also called for federal government's intervention in the gully erosion ravaging the South East, as well as a request for rail and gas pipeline projects.
While commending President Buhari for effectively mediating in the Xenophobic issue I. South Africa, the delegation thanked Air Peace boss for helping to evactuate stranded Nigerians.
Included in the delegation were past governors, serving and former ministers, Senators, religious and traditional rulers.
