Senate Assures Quality Representation

The Senate has assured Nigerians on quality representation and legislation that will enhance their living standards. Adedayo Adeyeye, Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs revealed this in a statement issued on Monday on the occasion of the country’s 59th Independence Anniversary.
Adeyeye said the National Assembly will partner with the Executive, Judiciary, Civil Society Organizations, the Media and every relevant stakeholder to find lasting solutions to the challenges plaguing the nation.
The Senate Committee Chairman also congratulated all compatriots both home and in the diaspora on the occasion of the 59th Independence Anniversary.
In a related development, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has advised Nigerians not to relent in collaborating with government at all levels.
Mudashiru said this on Monday in a statement in commemoration of Nigeria’s 59th Independence Anniversary, saying that collaboration with the government was important as the government seeks to develop the country and ensure it returns to greatness.
The Lagos Speaker while noting that fighting crime was a major area in need of collaborative effort also assured Nigerians that the government at all levels will continue to work towards improving their welfare and enhance their standard of living.
