Second Batch of Nigerians to be Evacuated on Wednesday - Abike Dabiri-Erewa
The Second Batch of Nigerians from South Africa in the wake of violent attacks and tensions over xenophobia will be evacuated on Wednesday, September 18.
Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa confirmed this to Nigeria Info correspondent, Joy Kalio over the phone.
Dabiri-Erewa said that the returnees will be arriving around 5pm tomorrow.
The evacuation of the second batch which was earlier scheduled to take place on Tuesday was disrupted following a delay in granting landing permit to Air Peace.
A similar incident had occurred earlier when the first batch of 187 Nigerians scheduled to arrive from South Africa on Wednesday arrived on Thursday after their flight was delayed over immigration issues.
