Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has recalled Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho for next month’s friendly with Ukraine. Rohr also handed a first call up to Germany based Emil Maduka Okoye.
Iheanacho was dropped for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after having a torrid time at Leicester City last season which saw his form dip. Meanwhile, first choice keeper at the AFCON, Daniel Akpeyi is nowhere on the 23-man shortlist as Rohr decided to hand Fortuna Dusseldorf keeper, Maduka, a chance to stake a claim for an Eagles shirt.
