Reps Call on Buhari to Halt Operation Positive Identification
The House of Representatives has called on President Muhammadu to direct the military to halt proposed Operation Positive Identification due to commence on November 1.
The House took the decision after a motion on a matter of urgent public importance by minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu.
Elumelu in his argument in support of his motion described the process as an infringement of people's rights.
The House thereafter unanimously adopted the motion after a debate, calling on the army to rather develop pro-people strategy in combating the security challenges confronting the country instead of measures which would victimize the people.
