Nigeria at 59: Nothing to Take Out of Buhari's Government - PDP
By Dipo Omoware
As Nigeria and Nigerians celebrate the country’s 59th Independence Day, the main opposition party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari of worsening the economy of Nigeria.
In an interview with Nigeria Info correspondent Philip Nweli, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan said that virtually nothing has changed since the Buhari administration came into power
“Talking about the 100 days of President Muhammadu Buhari, what has changed? Virtually nothing.”
“The economy has taken a worse downslope, forget the false statistics that they are branding about, the reality is in our lives.”
Ologbodiyan also accused the administration of displaying irrelevant figures that do not impact on the lives of the citizenry.
“It is not in the figures that they are putting in visuals or the new media. It’s about how our own lives have improved under this government.”
“Even the wages that they promised to fulfil after the election has also become another fake promise.”
“There is just nothing to take away from this Buhari Administration”, he concluded.
Nigeria celebrated its 59th Independence on October 1, 2019.
