Niger State Shuts Schools, Suspends Public Gatherings

Niger State Government has directed the closure of all Public and Private Schools as well as Tertiary Institutions across the State, with effect from Monday, 23rd of this month.
The closure is for thirty days.
Announcing this in statement on Thursday, Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Matane said the Niger State government has equally suspended all public gatherings with immediate effect.
The SSG revealed that the measure is part of Government’s deliberate efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus Pandemic.
He urged the people of the State to maintain the highest degree of personal hygiene, remain calm and adhere strictly to all safety measures earlier announced by the Niger State Ministry of Health.
