Mourinho Appointed Tottenham Manager

Jose Mourinho has been appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old Argentine was dismissed after five seasons at the club, following Tottenham’s poor start to the season which sees them currently sit 14th on the Premier League log.
Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Mourinho has signed a contract that will see him lead the side until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Following the appointment, the 56-year-old Portuguese said: “Working with these players is what has attracted me. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me.”
Also speaking after appointing Mourinho, Chairman Daniel Levy said: “He has won honours at every club he has coached. We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room.”
“He has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician. In Jose we have one of the most successful managers in football.”
It would be Mourinho’s first job since his sacking from Manchester United in December 2018.
