Maina's Trial Stalled Due To Ill Health

The trial of the Former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrahman Maina was on Tuesday stalled at the Federal High Court, Abuja over his ill health.
The presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang at the resumption of hearing on Tuesday received a letter from an officer of the Nigeria Correctional Service.
After reading the letter, the judge asked the three counsels if they have seen the letter which they answered in the negative.
He gave them the letter from Dr Idowu Ajayi of the Nigeria Correctional Service which stated that the 1st defendant, Maina is indisposed.
After arguing on pending applications, the judge ruled that the matter will be called on November 7.
Maina is standing trial for alleged theft to the tune of two billion naira while he was Chairman of the Presidential Task Team on Pension Reforms (PTTPR) in the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
