Lagos Records First Case of Coronavirus

Lagos has recorded the first case of coronavirus, or COVID-19 in Nigeria. The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanre confirmed the presence of the virus in the early hours of Friday.
The Federal Ministry of Health has confirmed a coronavirus(Covid-19) case in Lagos State Nigeria. The Ministry of Health says the case is an Italian, who entered Nigeria three days ago from Milan. The infection was confirmed at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, and authorities say the patient is clinically stable, with no serious symptoms. He’s currently being managed at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba.
The infection was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, which is part of the laboratory network of the Centre for Disease Control.

The Federal Ministry of Health noted that the patient is clinically stable, with no serious symptoms, and is being managed at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos.
