Lagos Approves New Minimum Wage

Workers in Lagos State can now start celebrating as the government has approved the implementation of new minimum wage structure.
A statement signed by the Head of Service Hakeem Muri-Okuonla says it is part of Giovernor Babajide Sanwa-Olu’s plan to “improve the welfare and wellbeing of Public Servants in the state.”
The breakdown by the government shows that workers on Grade Level 07 will get 30% increase; Level 08-10 will get 25%; Level 12-14 is expected to get 22.5%; and Level 15-17 will get 20%.
The implementation of the New Minimum Wage is expected to take effect from November 1st 2019.
