Kwara State Governor nominates 26-year-old as commissioner

There are reports that a 26-year-old Joana Nnazua Kolo, a corp member, has been nominated as a commissioner by the Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

This would make Kolo the youngest commissioner, not only in the history of Kwara State, but of Nigeria, if confirmed by the State Assembly. Currently, Seun Fakorede is the youngest commissioner in Nigeria at 27 years old. He is the Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Oyo state

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq was elected governor of Kwara State on March 6th in the Governorship election in the state.

He had contested for the governor of Kwara State in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 respectively under the Congress for Progressive Change political party but was unsuccessful until now.

Our correspondents could not reach the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye as at press time.
