Kwara Recovering from Previous Administration- Governor Razaq
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq says his administration is battling to recover government assets that were sold off by previous administrations in the state.
The Governor announced this to State House correspondents on Monday, after a private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
He said over 110 properties were sold off, while a former governor of the state converted a portion of the state’s liaison office in Lagos, for personal use.
Governor Abdulrazaq further added that his administration has retained the workforce inherited from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) regime, while also working to improve the state’s revenue base through agriculture.
He added that the national livestock project was being explored to reduce farmer-herders conflict, just as efforts are on to boost education and human capital investment.
The Kwara State governor, however, declined to field questions on the saga between his administration and Senator Bukola Saraki.
