Kano Peaceful After Supreme Court Decision
By Chukwudumebi Odimegwu
The atmosphere in Kano remains peaceful this morning after the Supreme Court's judgment affirmed Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the winner of Kano State Governorship Election.
Recall that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its 2019 governorship election candidate, Abba Kabir Yusuf had filed an appeal before the apex court challenging the election of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as winner.
Our correspondent Chukwudumebi Odimegwu, who monitored the situation around Ahmadu Bello Way, Murtala Mohammed Way, Zaria Road and state road among other strategic locations in the city, reports that it is business as usual for civil servants, corporate workers, business owners, and ministries, department, and agency.
Meanwhile, there is no security presence in most of the visited areas except the skeletal presence of officials of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) within the metropolis to aid the free flow of traffic.
