Kano PDP Chairman, Others Finally Defect To APC

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has officially welcomed former Kano state PDP chairman Rabi'u Sulaiman Bichi and hundreds of PDP loyalists that defected to the fold of the ruling APC.
During a brief ceremony at the state government house last night, Ganduje mentioned that such massive exodus from the opposition party is expected as the leader of Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso is never appreciative of anybody's effort.
In his remarks, former PDP Chairman Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi noted that his decision to dump PDP was in tandem to serve the people of Kano state.
“As a former leader and founder of the Kwankwasiyya movement, today, I announce our decision to accept the invitation you and the president extended to us. So we can give our contribution to the development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
“This leader we used to follow, we have known him a long time ago, people are supposed to respect and appreciate each other, I was well ahead of him in our political journey during the military regime I was the one sponsoring his posters and everything but he will never mention the favours I did for him only the ones he did for me.”
Reports say some of the politicians that switched allegiance alongside Bichi include ex media aide to Senator Kwankwanso, Hajiya Binta Spikin, Muhad Isyaku Tarauni, Jibril Bala Ibrahim Rano, Ubaidu Shanono, Surajo Bichi and some erstwhile PDP local government chairmen among others.
