Joao Felix Awarded Best Young Player In Europe

Atletico Madrid forward, Joao Felix has won the Golden Boy award for being the best young footballer in Europe in 2019.
The Portuguese, 20, who joined the Spanish side from Benfica for 53 billion naira in July, beat 2nd placed Jadon Sancho (Borrusia Dortmund) and 3rd placed Kai Havertz ( Bayer Leverkusen) to win the coveted prize.
The award is given by sports journalists to a young footballer playing in Europe who is believed to have been the best young footballer in a calendar year. All nominees must be under the age of 21 and play in a European nation's top tier.
Felix, who is currently the third most expensive footballer in the world has had an injury-plagued start to his Atletico Madrid career. He has made eight appearances this season, scoring two goals.
