The Imo State Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Charles Ezekwem has resigned.
Mr. Ezekwem who spoke to Nigeria Info through his aide Samson Ajachukwu said his reason for leaving was because he felt he was no longer wanted at the party.
According to him, accusations that he was the reason the PDP lost the Supreme Court judgment on the Gubernatorial elections were unfair and hence he decided to take a bow.
Mr. Ezekwem thanked PDP stakeholders in Imo State for their support throughout his tenure and urged them to do their best in uniting the party and to make it great again.
When asked to confirm rumours that he was set to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), the former PDP Chairman said he was yet to take a decision on the next step in his political career. He noted that he would inform the general public at the appropriate time.
