I Had Nothing To Do With COZA Video - Davido Cries Out
By Olamide Fadoju
Nigerian superstar Davido has strongly denied knowledge of the viral video online showing him advertising an event for the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Church (COZA).
Following the release of the video, Davido In a statement said he innocently did a video for a kid but was shocked it was altered and made to look like a video for the church
“I’m writing to quickly disclaim viral videos going round of me advertising for a Coza event. To come up I want to say I have NOTHING whatsoever to do with that church!!! The fact I did a quick video for a kid introduced as a fan just for her personal use and it was chopped up and used for such an advert extremely disappoints me. It is fraudulent and extremely disrespectful!!!."
He further disassociated himself from the church and threatened to do more if the video was not taken down
“ I have never and most certainly am not associated in any way with COZA church and have reached out to those responsible for this madness immediately!! I will most certainly be proceeding further if you do not retract that video immediately!!! A word is enough.”
Head Pastor, COZA, Reverend Biodun Fatoyinbo had posted the promotional video of a week-long event next year on his Instagram page but later deleted it.
The church has been going through a tough phase after Fatoyinbo was involved in a prolonged rape suit with celebrity Photographer Busola Dakolo. The case was however thrown out for lack of evidence.
