Governorship aspirants in Kogi kick against indirect primaries
Protesters today stormed the national Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the buildup to Kogi governorship election.
About 20 gubernatorial candidates are protesting the decision of the national working committee of the party adoption of indirect primaries.
Speaking with journalists on behalf of the aspirants, Mohammed Ali who condemned the decision of the party, stressed that they were not consulted before the decision was taken.
According to him, the decision is aimed at keeping the incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello in office for another tenure which they stressed will not be accepted.
They however called on the party to revert its decision.
