Get Olympic Ticket, Ambassador Tells U23 Eagles

Ahead of Saturday's AFCON U23 opener against Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria's Olympic Eagles have been urged to book an Olympic ticket for next year's world biggest sporting spectacle.
Nigeria's Ambassador to Egypt, Prof. Dandatti Abdulkadir OFR made the call as the team got ready for the tournament's opener.
The Ambassador was represented by the embassy's minister, Alh. Abubakar Sadiq Muhammad when he led a delegation and payed a courtesy visit to the team at Novotel Hotels and Resorts base in Cairo.
Speaking to Nigeria Info’s Sharif Abdallah who is also the media officer of team, the embassy's top official noted their visit was to give the team the necessary support they need.
“It’s normal when Nigerian players come here, we come and see them, give them moral support, see that they are comfortable and find out if they have any problem, we try to see how we can solve them and that is why we are here.”
“We were at the airport to receive them but we didn’t want to distract them so we allowed them to go relax, get their feel, get their schedules together and now that they are relaxed, they are going to start the match, we said we should come and see them.
Abubakar also called on Nigerians back home and in diaspora to “give them maximum support” as this will go a long way in the team's progression.
“I call on Nigerians to give them the maximum support, to stay behind them, rally behind them; they are very good players and they try all they can and I believe they will give the best from the interactions we’ve had here”
Nigeria's Olympic Eagles kick off their title in the forthcoming Afcon U23 tournament against Côte d'Ivoire on Saturday at the Al-Salam stadium in Cairo.
