GARBA REPLACES BULKACHUWA AS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION PETITION TRIBUNAL BOSS
Presiding Justice of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal Justice M. L. Garba is now the head of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Appearing today on the five-man panel for the first time, Garba, replaces the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.
Following allegations of likelihood of bias levelled against her by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the February 23 Presidential Election, Bulkachuwa withdrew from the panel on May 22.
The petitioners are challenging President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressive Congress’ victory in the election.
Meanwhile, there are three other petitioners challenginh the result of the poll.
