FG TO SET UP IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE ON NEW MINIMUM WAGE
The Federal Government is set to inaugurate the N30,000 new national minimum wage implementation committee.
Almost one month after President Muhammadu Buhari signed the bill into law, Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment while stating the implementation hinted that arrears would be paid anytime the implementation of the new wage bill commenced.
Ngige stressed that there were still processes and procedures the new wage would undergo before the commencement of its implementation despite its passage and signing into law.
The minister did not state when payment from the government would start, however he added that a circular on the expected adjustments would soon be issued by the appropriate agency of the government.
