FEC MEETING POSTPONED

The Presidency has announced that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting has been postponed.
This was revealed on Tuesday in a statement made available by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.
According to Shehu, this decision was taken to allow the Ministers to rework the Memoranda earlier submitted.
“This action will allow Ministers who were recently sworn in have their inputs in the memos sent by their predecessors in office,” the statement said.
“Similarly, the period is to enable the Ministers, who are still taking briefs from bureaucrats in the Ministries and familiarizing themselves with their workspace, have more time to contribute to discussions at the meeting, ” it added.
The presidential aide also said that the break will be used to work on and finalize the 2020 budget estimates.
