FEC Approves 200 Billion for Second Niger Bridge Link Roads

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) today approved over Two Hundred Billion Naira (#200,000,000.00) for the construction of access roads linking the second Niger Bridge from Asàba and Onitsha.
Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola announced this after the weekly FEC meeting presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. Fashola explained that the access roads are to boost the ongoing work on the much anticipated second Niger Bridge.
In a related development, the Works Minister also disclosed that over Seventy-Nine Billion Naira (#72,000,000) was approved for the Ilesha-Ibadan-Oyo highway, while the 152kilometer Kano-Katsina road is being completed at 29.654billion naira.
Also at the briefing, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba said the FEC approved 915 million naira under the TET Fund for the Faculty of Environment, University of Abuja, while another 918million naira will be spent on the faculty of education at the same university. The projects are to be completed within forty months.
