Fatoyinbo Asked to Appear Before Court
Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Biodun Fatoyinbo has been asked to appear before a Federal High Court in Abuja within the next 14 days.
Busola Dakolo, a celebrity photographer and wife of musician Timi Dakolo, had accused Fatoyinbo of forcefully having sex with her, twice when she was a teenager.
According to Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the summon issued by the Federal High Court read:
“You are hereby commanded that within fourteen (14) days after the service of this writ on you, inclusive of the day of such service you do cause an appearance to be entered for you, in an action of Mrs. Busola Dakolo; and take notice that in default the claimant may proceed, and judgment may be given in your absence.”
The document also stated that the defendant, Mrs. Dakolo alleged that the action was an ‘intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
“An order of this honourable court directing the defendant to publish a clearly worded apology to the claimant on the front page of at least two (2) national newspaper and two national televisions for seven days running consecutively.
“An order of this honourable court directing the defendant to address a personal letter of apology to the claimant, showing honest remorse for his misdeeds,” The statement further stated.
Busola Dakolo two months ago, in a tell-all interview with Y Naija accused the popular Abuja Based pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo of raping her.
The pastor in response denied the rape allegations levelled against him and vowed to seek legal redress against his accusers.
Fatoyinbo initially bowed to pressure and stepped down as the senior Pastor of COZA but has since returned to the pulpit.
