Majek Fashek’s manager, Uzoma Day Omenka has accused Nigerian flutist and classical musician, Tee Mac of raising funds under the false pretext of helping Majek Fashek.

Uzoma who spoke with Correspondent Ijeoma Esek exclusively told Nigeria Info that “Tee Mac and his cohorts” did not get consent from the musician or him as his manager.

“Why will Tee Mac come out without my consent or Majek’s consent? Tee Mac did not get consent from me, I don’t know who sent him and his cohorts, those people that are seen talking on media … saying they are raising money and Tee Mac is chairman, for what?”

He stated unequivocally that Majek’s team was not on any fundraising drive for the ailing artiste.

“We didn’t say we want to do fundraising, what we wanted to do was … ask a few people that could help Majek and then when he comes out, he will now speak or I speak for him. Then he can have a fundraising… He is ageing and can’t do shows anymore and he will need money for upkeep.”

He also accused a certain Black Christ on Facebook of posing as Majek’s manager.

“The one called Black Christ…. he put on his Facebook page that he is Majek’s manager… they are just busy doing scandals and propaganda everywhere.”

Uzo also condemned the rumour of the Nigerian music legend’s death saying that “when he (Majek) came out with his album, they did not push the news but they could push this kind of stories to go this far, it’s too bad.”

He further added that the Prisoner of Conscience music maker still needed funds to cover other bills and called that donations to be made directly to Majek’s team.

“People can say, write and maybe organisations or friends can say this is what we want to do for Majek but I didn’t send anyone to go and do whatever foundation to help Majek”

On Sunday a video was posted on the Rainmaker’s official Instagram page, @official_majekfashek wherein the manager dispelled rumours that the artist was dead and said his condition was getting better.
