Former Kano State Governor, Dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso has lamented over nonpayment of his entitlements over 4 years after leaving office.
Kwankwaso, while addressing newsmen last night at his residence in Kano ahead of Saturday’s bye-election in nine local government areas, denied the speculation that he also refused to pay the entitlements of his predecessor Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau when he was in office.
During the interview which was aired live on 93.1 Arewa Radio, the former Kano Central Senator clarified that the former two-time governor Shekarau could not access his benefits then due to his failure to honor the accreditation exercise that was mandated on all erstwhile political office holders in the State.
Kwankwaso, however, slammed the hand of friendship extended to him and his followers to serve the people of Kano state by the sitting governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, saying that Gov Ganduje's speech while welcoming the former PDP chairman Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi to APC contradicted his readiness to work with the opposition in the State.
