Danger Averted as Air Peace Plane Lands Awkwardly

Danger was averted at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday when an Air Peace flight overshot the runway while landing.
General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu confirmed the incident in an interview with Nigeria Info correspondent Joy Kalio.
According to the FAAN GM, no casualty was recorded. A passenger on the flight told Channels TV the plane dropped about 30 feet unto the runway, with the front landing gear tyre bursting on impact.
The FAAN GM said the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has since commenced investigation on the incident.
