Coronavirus: Three New Cases Confirmed
Three more new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Lagos.
The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control confirmed the new cases on Sunday evening.
According to the NCDC, “the two cases are returning travellers and one is a contact of a confirmed case.”
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 30.
Meanwhile, in a bid to curtail the community spread of Coronavirus, workers on grade level 1-12 in the Lagos State Civil Service have been asked to stay at home for the next 14 days.
This was announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a state wide broadcast.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the directive “will be reviewed as time goes on.”
The Lagos governor also advised “members of the public to refrain from visiting any of our public offices and to transact such businesses on the phone or online channels.”
However, first responders such as workers in the health sector, fire service and the state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
