CONTE APPOINTED MANAGER OF INTER MILAN
The former Chelsea manager replaces Luciano Spalleti who was sacked
Antonio Conte has been appointed as manager of Inter Milan.
The former Chelsea manager replaces Luciano Spalleti who was sacked despite guiding the Nerrazuri to a fourth placed finish in the league as well as securing a champions league spot.
Antonio Conte himself was sacked by Chelsea in May 2018 despite winning the league and the FA Cup in his two seasons at Stamford Bridge after falling out with some of his players and the Chelsea hierarchy.
Conte, 49, has been without a job since his dismissal at Chelsea and the former Italy and Juventus manager has signed a three-year contract with the San Siro club.
“A new chapter in my life is beginning. I’m really excited. I have chosen Inter because of the club it is, because of how ambitious it is”, said Conte who won three Serie A titles while manager of Juventus.
“I was struck by the club’s transperancy and the desire to bring Inter back to where it belongs”, he added.
