CAS Picks Date to Rule On Chelsea's Transfer Ban

Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will on Wednesday, November 20 hear Chelsea’ appeal against a transfer ban by FIFA for breaking transfer rules.
FIFA's disciplinary and appeal committees found Chelsea guilty of violating rules that protect minors from trafficking, in cases involving about 70 players and fined Chelsea of £470,000.
The West London club was subsequently handed a two-window transfer ban by FIFA in February.
The club, however, maintained its innocence and took their appeal to CAS.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport’s verdict will determine if the blues will be able to sign any player during the January transfer window after the ban made it impossible to sign players during last summer’s transfer window.
Coach Frank Lampard while reacting to the news said he “will be very interested” in the ruling because it affects what they “ do in January or not."
