By Dipo Omoware
Burna Boy gave an electrifying performance of his recently released hit track ‘Anybody’ on the American TV show, Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday night.
The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ who is set to release his new album of the same name this Friday 26th July, thrilled live audiences of the show as they roared in approval at the end of his performance.
The set for his performance was designed to look like a beach with makeshift cabanas, beach sand, thatched-roof huts and palms trees and a canoe all in the background. A larger-than-life album art was also on stage.
This showing was part of Apple Music's Up Next programme, which is geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising star talent.
Burna Boy is the only African artist on the programme this July. Other artists on the programme include Tenille (Canada), Maisie Peters (UK), Octavian (UK/France), Khalid (US) King Princess (US), and J Balvin (Colombia).
Jimmy Kimmel Live is an American late-night talk show, created and hosted by TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, and broadcast on ABC. The show is well known for its huge viral video successes with over 5.6 billion views on YouTube.
