President, Muhammadu Buhari says he expects a thorough investigation into the heinous murder of Madam Achejuh Abuh, Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Wada/Aro campaign council, in the just concluded governorship election in Kogi State.

The President in a statement published on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina strongly condemned whatever could spur anyone to take the life of another human being, particularly a woman, who was burnt to death in her home in the most gruesome manner.

He charged all security agencies involved in the investigation to do a detailed and expeditious job on the matter so that justice could be served without fear or favor.

Mrs Abuh was set ablaze by suspected thugs at Ochadamu in Ofu local government area of Kogi on Monday, November 18.

President Buhari empathized with the family of the deceased, vowing that the law would catch up with the malefactors, and justice would be done.

Buhari stressed that any descent to barbarism, as was visited on the PDP Woman Leader in Kogi State, has gone out of the realm of politics, and is pure criminality and bestiality.

Meanwhile, Kogi State Governor, Yahya Bello has appealed to indigenes of the state to unite and support his administration to actualize the overwhelming mandate given to him by Kogites.

Governor Bello made the request at the Presidential Villa Abuja, shortly after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission in Lokoja.

Bello, who was accompanied to the Presidential Villa by the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, told state house Correspondent that his victory in last Saturday's governorship election was a landslide.
