BUHARI ORDERS IMMEDIATE CLEARANCE OF APAPA GRIDLOCK
The Presidency has ordered the immediate clearance of the Apapa gridlock within two weeks.
In addition, the Presidency has also directed that trucks and tankers to within 72 hours vacate the Port Access roads.
The directive, which was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande mandated the immediate removal of all the trucks from the bridges and roads within Apapa and all adjoining streets leading into the Apapa axis.
The directive was as a result of an emergency meeting arranged by President Muhammadu Buhari and chaired by Vice President Yemi Osibanjo according to the statement.
