Bayelsa Election: Tribunal Relocates to Abuja

The President of the Court of Appeal Zainab Bulkachuwa has relocated the Bayelsa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal from Yenogoa the state capital to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

 

This was revealed in a statement issued by the secretary of the tribunal, Falilat Orire.

 

According to her, the decision of the President to relocate the tribunal was due to security reasons.

 

The tribunal will now seat at the FCT Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

 

Recall that the governorship elections took place in the state on November 16 2019, with the Independent National Electoral Commission declaring candidate of the All Progressive Congress, David Lyon as winner.
