Bayelsa Election: No Election in Southern Ijaw -PDP Candidate

The PDP governorship candidate in Saturday’s election in Bayelsa State, Douye Diri says voting did not take place in Nembe, Basambiri and Ogbolomabiri and parts of Southern Ijaw Local Government Areas.

Senator Diri told Nigeria Info correspondent Joshua Rogers that APC members, in collusion with INEC officials and security personnel prevented his agents and supporters from accessing polling units
Senator Douye Diri called on INEC and Security Agencies to be neutral in the election. He also advised his supporters to be law abiding and not resort to violence.
Meanwhile; Governorship candidate of the Accord Party, Ebizimo Diriyai says INEC and Security Personnel have performed above average. Ebizimo Diriyai who is a pastor and son of Nigeria’s Ambassador to Malawi told correspondent Joshua Rogers that he has not confirmed any reports of gunshots and ballot box snatching.
