If you attended the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) ceremony that held 10 days ago in Lagos, the State's Ministry of Health is asking you to self-isolate and practice social distancing.

This is because you may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lagos. This is coming after Lagos state confirms 4 new cases in the state bringing the total cases in the state to 29.

Commissioner for Health for Lagos State Professor Akin Abayomi tweeted this on his timeline.

Earlier in the week, there were speculations that a guest at the awards was showing symptoms of the coronavirus but nothing was confirmed.

Media Personality and host of the event, IK Osakioduwa even came out to debunk a rumour that he was the ‘guest’ with the virus.

"I usually would not address this but the rumours are making the rounds. People passing messages around that I went to the UK and got the coronavirus took it to AMVCA, took it to some clubs," he said in the video.

" I haven’t been to London for a very long time. I haven’t been to that club… I don’t have coronavirus."
