The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare says the government flagrantly disobeys court judgments given in favour of the organization and the Nigerian people.
Oluwadare made the statement on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire amid concerns about the efficacy of the organization’s constant lawsuits against the government and political officeholders.
The SERAP Deputy Director urged citizens to be more involved in monitoring and scrutinizing the activities of the government rather than civil rights organizations, whose aim is to hold the government accountable to the provisions of the law.
Oluwadare further cited instances where government institutions ignored court orders in cases won by SERAP.
